What Is This Course?

We have always heard people say they are interested in doing something in the field of wildlife. We have even bumped into people who walk up to us and say they want to become ‘WILDLIFERS’! Most of the time, these are people who are highly driven but lack direction; trust us, we all have gone through that phase. And that’s why we thought of bringing to you the JOURNEYS WILDERNESS CONNECT course.

This course is designed to suit people of all ages, educational qualifications and interests. It gives you valuable insights into the field of wildlife as well as makes you aware of its various branches and career options. Once empowered with the direction in which you want to head, the course opens windows of opportunities for work. By the end of this course, you can either join our team or be skilled to find work on the field of wildlife with our modest help.

Course Sessions:

A total of 11 online sessions and 1 outdoor field trip

Online sessions:

• Orientation for the course & Introduction to Ornithology
• Introduction to Herpetology
• Introduction to Entomology
• Introduction to Mammalogy
• Introduction to field Botany and types of ecosystems
• Understanding Wildlife Policies in India
• Insights to the Wildlife Travel Industry in India and understanding Journeys Work Model
• Introduction to Basic Photography and Videography
• First Aid Course
• Panel Discussions: Research, Policy Makers and Organisations
• Panel Discussions: Tourism, Photography, Film-making

Outdoor Sessions (Optional):

A 3 days field trip after the online sessions. This will cover field implementation of all the online learnings. The cost for this is not included in course fees. Participants can pay at actual for this.
