Pench National Park is situated in Seoni and Chhindwara districts of Madhya Pradesh in India. It derives its name from the Pench river that flows through the National Park from north to south dividing the park into almost equal western and eastern halves- Seoni and Chhindwara districts respectively. It was declared a sanctuary in 1977 but raised to the status of National park in 1983. Later it was established as Tiger Reserve area in 1992. This Park is accessible from Pauni on National Highway 7. This point is close to Nagpur, Maharashtra and is the most convenient to enter from Nagpur. Park has two famous gates as tourists entry, Turiya and Karmajhiri.
Pench Tiger Reserve and its neighborhood is the original setting of Rudyard Kipling’s most famous work, The Jungle Book.
The undulating topography supports a mosaic of vegetation ranging from moist, sheltered valleys to open, dry deciduous forest. Over 1200 species of plants have been recorded from the area including several rare and endangered animals as well as plants of ethnobotanical importance. The area has always been rich in wildlife. It is dominated by a fairly open canopy, mixed forests with considerable shrub cover and open grassy patches. The high habitat heterogeneity favours high population of Chital and Sambar. Tiger is the main cat species of the park present in good numbers but sighted infrequently.
Commonly seen wildlife is cheetal, neelgai, wild boar and jackal. Other wild animals found are leopard, sloth bear, wild dog and chowsingha. There are more than 170 species of birds including several migratory ones. Some of them are peafowl, jungle fowl, bee eater, tree pie, fly catcher, hornbill, etc. The Pench national park has a count of 8 tigers (as in 1998) and 7 panthers (as in 1998).This national park is rich with chitals or more commonly spotted deer.

Weather: Temperatures in Winter range from 10 degree Celsius during the Day and can Drop to -10C late at Night and early mornings. Temperature in Summer range between 10-45 degree Celsius

Arrival at Nagpur. Our representative would meet you at the railway station on your arrival. You would straight away proceed to Pench by AC Innova (02.3 HRS).
On arrival at Pench. Check-in in into the resort.
Evening safari.

With an early wake up call, get set for the safari experience. Have a great morning drive. On your return to campsite have breakfast, relax refresh.
Lunch.
Post Lunch proceed for another Safari, and return to the campsite just after sunset.
