Ladakh is a region of India in the state of Jammu and Kashmir that lies between the Kunlun mountain range in the north and the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. Ladakh with the area of 95,000 square kilometers has one of the lowest population densities in the world, with 2 inhabitants per square kilometer. Land in Leh. Proceed to Homestay. Lunch.
Late afternoon step out to explore Leh Bazaar. Visit Tibetan Markets, try local food.
Back to Homestay for dinner.
Day 2: 6/7/24:
Leh- Lamayuru Monastery
Acclimatization Day.
Visit Scorpoche Nimu Sangam (18kms). Visit Hall of Fame & Pathar Sahib Gurudwara.
Lunch at Leh Market.
Post lunch visit Leh Palace.
Back to Leh Homestay for dinner.
Day 3: 7/7/24:
Leh- Rumbak
Post breakfast drive to Rumbak in Hemis National Park.
Walk through the Hemis National Park to this remote village named Rumbak. Enroute you might spot wildlife.
Lunch at Rumbak. Enjoy local cuisine with a family living in the park.
Post lunch trek to spot wildlife.
Drive back to Leh Homestay for dinner.
Day 4: 8/7/24:
Leh- Nubra Valley
Drive from Leh to the Nubra Valley (Ldomra or the Valley of Flowers) over the Khardung La pass (5606 Mts.), the highest motorable road in the world. The camels date back to the Silk Route days. Enjoy fascinating views of Karakoram Mountain range.
Evening visit the Sumur Swamps and Sand Dunes.
Overnight at Sumur.
Day 5: 9/7/24:
Nubra- Sumoor- Panamic- Antse Gonpa- Gonbo Monastery
Drive to Panamic to see the hot water springs. Visit Sumoor Monastery.
Later visit Antse Gonpa, Gonbo Monastery. Get the spectacular view of Siachen Glacier.
Night at Sumur.
Day 6: 10/7/24:
Nubra Valley
Day visit to Nubra Valley.
Post breakfast visit Diskit Monastery. Lunch at local bazaar.
Evening at Hunder Sand Dunes.
Back to Sumur for stay.
Day 7: 11/7/24:
Nubra-Leh
Drive back to Leh.
Enroute visit Shanti Stupa.
Dinner at Homestay.
Day 8: 12/7/24:
Leh- Tsokar Lake
Day 9: 13/7/24:
Tsokar Lake- Leh
After breakfast, drive back to Leh.
Enroute visit Puga Hot Water Spring and Chumathang Hot Water Springs.
Closer to Leh visit Thiksey Monastery that is one of the richest Gompa in this region.
Transfer to Leh Homestay.
Day 10: 14/7/24:
Leh- Delhi
Fly Leh -New Delhi.
