The Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (also known as Sasan-Gir) is a forest and wildlife park in Gujarat, India. Established in 1975, with a total area of 1412 sq km (about 258 km² for the fully protected area (the National Park) and 1153 km² for the Sanctuary), the park is located 43 km in the north-east from Somnath, 65 km to the south-east of Junagadh and 60 km to south west of Amreli. It is the sole home of the Asiatic Lions (Panthera leo persica).
The carnivorous group mainly comprises Asiatic Lions, Indian Leopards, Jungle Cats, Striped Hyenas, Golden Jackals, Indian Mongoose. Desert cats and Rusty Spotted Cats exist but are rarely seen. The herbivores of Gir are Chital, Nilgai (or Bluebull), Sambar deer, Chausingha, Chinkara and Wild Boar. Blackbucks from the surrounding area are sometimes seen in the sanctuary. Among the smaller mammals, porcupine and hare are common but the Pangolin is rare. The reptiles are represented by the March Crocodile, Tortoise and the Monitor Lizard in the water areas of the sanctuary.

Received at Junagadh and transferred to Resort, by AC car.
Reach campsite.
Camp arrival, Room allotment followed by freshen up.
Camp briefing and orientation (Introduction to staff and instructors, Safety briefing, Camp facilities).
Lunch at the camp site. Rest in the afternoon.
Evening safari to the National Park. Evening tea/coffee.
Dinner.
Day 2: 12/4/19:
Gir
Early morning safari to the Gir National Park. Watch out for Lions, Leopards, Bears, Deer, Crocodiles. Back in the camp for late breakfast.
After breakfast participants can go into the swimming pool for a splash.
Lunch. Watch a documentary about the Gir National Park.
Evening safari to the National Park. Get the opportunity to see the evening jungle life at the time of sunset. See the nocturnal creatures moving out of their hides.
Evening tea/coffee.
Back in the camp.
Dinner.
Day 3: 13/4/19:
Gir
Morning safari in Gir National Park. Spend the morning exploring parts of the park that you missed on the previous day of safari.
Lunch.
Evening safari to the National Park. Get the opportunity to see the evening jungle life at the time of
sunset. See the nocturnal creatures moving out of their hides.
Day 4: 14/4/19:
Gir- Junagadh
Morning safari in Gir National Park. Stop enroute at a Local handicraft shop.
Back to campsite for breakfast.
Lunch.
Drop to Junagadh.
Tour ends.
